Sarouja Restaurant & Cafe serves Syrian & Mediterranean cuisine, and claims to use only the best ingredients. The restaurant currently has two branches, one each in (JBR) Jumeirah Beach Residence & Emirates Hills. The interior is Damascus themed beautified with plants and decorative oriental elements.
Shisha can be smoked in a well-ventilated designated area. Parking is available on-site @AED10 regardless of number of hours.
Syrian Grill

Succulent lamb kebab placed between a flatbread which soaks up the juices of the kebab adding to the flavor.
The grilled kebabs had a strong aroma and flavor of charcoal. Served with grilled onion, tomato and a small portion of salad.
Main Course
Rating: 5/5 – Highly Recommended
Tender chicken breast covered in a rich mushroom sauce. Served with potato wedges and grilled vegetables.
The chicken breast was cooked to perfection, while the portion was filling.
Shisha
Rating: 3/5 – Average
We tried grape with blueberry, but somehow could only taste charcoal.
The staff was understanding and replaced the shisha head immediately with grape mint.
Dessert
Rating: 4/5 – Good
The Lebanese dessert Ghazleh Beirut is an ice cream cake topped with cotton candy and pistachios sprinkled.
The ice cream is also coated with pistachios. The cotton candy was a bit sweet for my taste, but one can always enjoy this dessert if you have a sweet tooth or sugar rush.
